Buffalo Marathon

Race options include the full marathon, a half marathon, and a four-person relay. The typical start time is 6:30 a.m., and participation is capped (1,500 places for the full marathon based on recent years). There is a six-hour cut-off time for the marathon.

Course amenities include water and Gatorade every two miles in the first half and every mile in the second half, with energy gels provided at designated points around miles 15 and 21. Medical support and bike course marshals are present throughout the event. The course prohibits strollers, roller blades, and pets.

All finishers receive a technical shirt and medal, and a post-race party is held immediately following the event. Awards for winners and age group categories are mailed after the event.

An additional feature along the half marathon and marathon courses is live music, with local bands performing a variety of genres at intervals to enhance the race experience.
