Vernonia Marathon

The Vernonia Marathon takes place in northwest Oregon, starting at Cedar Ridge Retreat Center in Vernonia and finishing at Banks High School in the town of Banks. The course follows a point-to-point format, running primarily along the Banks-Vernonia State Trail, which is a converted railroad line traversing scenic forests, crossing wooden trestles, and passing farmland. The marathon covers a full 26.2 miles (42.2 km) and is USATF certified, making it eligible for Boston Marathon qualification.\n
